Third install in Finland, and this one feeds a brewery.

The gas coming off Salpakierto Oy's Kujala site in Lahti runs down a pipeline to Lahti Energia Oy's CHP plant, which supplies the Hartwall brewery. Since the start of July, Hydryx tunes the wells feeding that pipeline.

We instrumented 13 gas wells at Kujala together with our Finnish installation partner Biovoima. Sensors sit in the compressor house, measuring methane, oxygen and pressure at every well. Our algorithm sets each valve position from that data, and on wells with a history of oxygen ingress, it caps how far the valve is allowed to open. All 13 wells now run under automated control.

“It went very well! The equipment installations went according to plan, and cooperation with Hydryx was smooth from start to finish. We hope that with the installed equipment, we will be able to put our landfill gas to even more efficient use.”
