about us

Turning emissions into resources

Every landfill has the power to fuel a cleaner future. At Hydryx, we build technology that turns methane emissions into green energy.

our purpose
Where others see waste, we see potential
Landfills are responsible for 6% of global emissions. Yet we believe that under every landfill lies a powerful opportunity, and that great landfill management is a key part of the circular economy. We started Hydryx to prove that with the right technology, we don’t have to choose between a solid business case and climate action. We can have both.
We’re set on removing 10 million tons of CO₂ equivalent by 2030. That’s not a footnote; it’s proof that climate action can pay for itself.
Co-founder and CEO
Anthonie Jacobson
Founded Hydryx to make a tangible, lasting climate impact. Convinced the best climate solutions are simple, scalable and provide a good business case. Loves working with smart, driven people who believe in our mission.
Co-founder and COO
Joren Tangelder
Founded Hydryx to decarbonize landfills after years building energy management systems. Driven by a passion for climate impact, believes proven tech in new sectors can lead to simple, impactful solutions that can have a global impact.
CTO
Henry Willson
Blends his background in chemical, software and hardware engineering to lead Hydryx’s technical vision by building reliable systems that cut emissions and scale sustainably. Loves endurance sports on bike and running trails and most recently the all-night marathon of parenthood.
Systems engineer
Haadi Naqvi
Combines a foundation in computational physics with a passion for nonlinear systems and applies his technical expertise to integrate sustainable practices into energy operations at Hydryx. In free time he digs through crates at record stores or falls off skateboards.
Embedded engineer

How we work
Our building principles
Grow together
We develop side by side with landfill operators, because rethinking landfills to climate assets is a team effort.
Engineer for the real world
We're not interested in fancy. We build pragmatic, reliable solutions for harsh conditions and real operators.
Prove it fast
We don’t talk about impact, we realize it. New ideas are tested and transformed into solutions as soon as possible.
CAREERS
Come build the landfill tech of the future
We're an ambitious team driven to solve tech problems that matter. If you want to help make landfills work for the planet and enjoy working in a hands-on, curious and down-to-earth team, let’s chat.
