Hydryx goes live in Finland with Kiertokaari and Biovoima

Until now, the site's 40 gas lines were measured and tuned by hand, once a week. Our system now samples gas quality every 15 minutes and auto-tunes the valves in real time. The result: more methane captured, better gas quality, fewer odour issues, lower emissions.

Our project is part of KAJASTUS, a national ERDF-funded project led by Kiertokaari to boost landfill gas recovery across Finland. Finnish municipal landfills still release around 12,000 tonnes of methane per year, and waste is among Europe's top three methane emission sources. Exactly the problem we built Hydryx to solve.

Finnish daily Kaleva visited the site and interviewed Kiertokaari project manager Tuomas Heikkinen. Two quotes we're proud of:

"Going forward, the new system can monitor that Ruskotunturi is always under negative pressure. That reduces (odour) emissions."

On working with us: Tuomas praised Hydryx for making the system easy for customers to trial. That's by design. Clip-on hardware, no upfront investment, results within months.
